Jeonbuk Province's "Haegaram" Opens Special Section at Jeonbuk Saengsaeng Market

25% Discount Coupon Offered During the First Week of Every Month

The seafood joint brand "Haegaram," promoted by Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, has opened a special section at "Jeonbuk Saengsaeng Market."

According to the province on July 8, "Haegaram" is a name derived from the sea (hae) and river (garam) of Jeonbuk, and serves as the province's representative seafood brand symbolizing fresh and healthy seafood.

The brand has been in use since 2015 and is currently managed and operated through the "Jeonbuk Provincial Seafood Joint Brand Council," which includes the fisheries cooperatives of Gunsan, Gimje, Gochang, and Buan.

Since the first half of this year, the province has been operating the Haegaram special section within "Jeonbuk Saengsaeng Market." To celebrate its launch, a 25% discount coupon for Haegaram products is offered during the first week of every month.

Designated Haegaram companies have obtained nationally certified quality accreditations, such as HACCP certification or eco-friendly seafood certification. In the first half of this year, two new companies were added, bringing the total number of designated companies to 29.

Going forward, the province plans to promote consumption of high-quality local seafood and establish the "Haegaram" brand through time-limited special offers, live commerce events, and product discount promotions.

Additionally, the province provides benefits to designated brand users, such as packaging material support and e-commerce consulting.

Companies wishing to use the "Haegaram" trademark must obtain national quality certification and meet requirements for handling local seafood. Inquiries can be made at the nearest fisheries cooperative in Gunsan, Gimje, Gochang, or Buan.
