This agreement was pursued as a strategy for Yangju City, which has been designated as a "Special Education Development Zone Pilot Area" by the Ministry of Education, to address the inadequate educational infrastructure in its towns and villages. In particular, the parties agreed to utilize the site of Ganap Elementary School to create a multi-purpose space encompassing educational, childcare, and youth facilities.

Under the agreement, the three organizations will cooperate on: ▲ creating internal and external conditions for the development of the school complex facility ▲ sharing information and data ▲ establishing a master plan ▲ jointly utilizing the site and preparing joint design plans, among other areas.

The city plans to apply for the "2025 2nd School Complex Facility Public Project," organized by the Ministry of Education, at the end of July.

The Ganap Elementary School Complex Facility will have a total floor area of 1,380 square meters and will include various spaces such as an indoor sports facility, a regional childcare center, an edutech education center, an international education center, and a youth shelter. It is expected to serve as a lifestyle-oriented educational complex infrastructure that can be widely used by children and youth in the western region of Yangju.

Mayor Yang Suhyun stated, "This agreement marks an important starting point for addressing educational imbalances in our towns and villages," adding, "The three organizations will work together to ensure that the school complex facility becomes a reality."
