Gyeonggi-do to Hold Largest Mid-to-Senior Job Fair on July 9... 1,000 Hires Expected

Gyeonggi-do will hold the '2025 Gyeonggi-do 5070 Job Fair' at Suwon Messe on July 9. Starting with this fair, Gyeonggi-do will launch the 'Gyeonggi 5070 Gray it-job tour,' visiting all 31 cities and counties in the province.

This event is a customized employment linkage program for middle-aged and older adults in their 50s to 70s. Notably, this year’s fair features an enhanced 'career transition support function' compared to last year. It goes beyond simple on-site recruitment by also providing introductions to related occupational fields and tailored programs for those wishing to change careers. Counseling and information are offered based on each job seeker's experience and desired position, helping to reduce anxiety about career transitions and broaden their range of choices.

More than 100 companies, including KB Golden Life Care and CJ Freshway, will participate in the fair, offering over 1,000 job opportunities. In particular, KB Golden Life Care will directly hire around 100 full-time employees on-site to staff Gwanggyo Village, which is scheduled to open in September.

The venue will feature a variety of programs, including recruitment briefings, recruitment and promotional halls, a job preparation zone, a job experience zone, and celebratory performances.

At the recruitment briefings, representatives from large and mid-sized companies will explain recruitment positions and working environments directly. In addition, more than 30 related organizations, such as Korea Asset Management Corporation, Korea Housing Finance Corporation, and the Korea Labor Foundation, will participate to provide tailored consultations on employment, entrepreneurship, welfare, and finance.

Gyeonggi-do will also actively promote middle-aged and senior-friendly job policies, such as 'Baby Boomer Light Job' and 'Baby Boomer Internship,' through the fair.

Job seekers in their 50s to 70s can pre-register through the fair’s website (5070job.com) or by phone (1660-3352), and can also participate by registering on-site on the day of the event. All procedures, including resume writing, photo taking, and employment consulting, will be supported on-site.

Jung Dooseok, Director of the Gyeonggi-do Economic Bureau, stated, "Since last year, 9.54 million members of the second baby boomer generation, born between 1964 and 1974, have been reaching the age of 60," and added, "Gyeonggi-do will work to substantially improve the employment environment for middle-aged and older adults through the 5070 Job Fair."
