Changwon National University Raises New School Flag Following Integration with Gyeongnam Provincial Namhae and Geochang Colleges

Changwon National University has unveiled a new school flag, newly created following its integration with Gyeongnam Provincial Geochang College and Namhae College.

On July 7, Changwon National University announced that it had held a flag-raising ceremony for the new school flag at the Sky Garden on the fourth floor of the university headquarters.

The event was attended by President Park Minwon, faculty members, and other university constituents. It featured a brass quintet performance by students from the university's Reserve Officers' Training Corps and the Department of Music, as well as the singing of the school anthem.

The school flag features a blue background with the university name and a large new emblem prominently displayed.

This emblem was created based on the new University Identity (UI), which was developed to mark the opening of the Sacheon Aerospace Campus in March and the upcoming integration with Gyeongnam Provincial Geochang College and Namhae College next year, ushering in the 'four-campus era.'

The emblem incorporates the message 'SHIELD OF TRUST,' visualized through a shield and images of a ship, rocket, and spacecraft. It also combines various symbolic elements such as the English name 'ChangWon National University,' academic pursuit, expansion and prosperity, trust, and the foundation for growth to represent the university's image.

President Park stated, "Under the new symbol of our transformed university, let us unite in our love for the school and work together so that Changwon National University can contribute to the future development of the local community and the nation."
