"An Opportunity to Introduce and Share Spaces Personally Maintained by Residents"
Gokseong County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Cho Sangrae) announced on July 7 that the application deadline for 'The 1st Gokseong County Beautiful Scenery Award Contest' is July 11.
This contest was organized to discover the precious beauty found in the daily spaces of county residents and to promote a culture of voluntary landscape management. The contest is divided into two categories: ▲Beautiful Architecture and ▲Beautiful Private Gardens. Participation is easy with just a simple application form and photo materials.
The grand prize winner will receive a cash prize of 1.5 million won and a 'Beautiful Scenery Award' plaque. The top excellence prize offers a cash award of 1 million won, and participation prizes are also available in each category. This contest is a great opportunity for residents to receive official recognition for the spaces they have carefully maintained and to take pride in their efforts.
An official from the county stated, "This is a meaningful contest where residents can introduce and share the daily landscapes they have managed. We ask for your interest and participation during the remaining period so that you can become the first winner."
Meanwhile, Gokseong County plans to use the Beautiful Scenery Award not just as a simple prize, but as a driving force to enhance residents' pride and to raise the level of the local landscape.
