Prime Minister Minseok Kim urged the National Policy Planning Committee, which is currently formulating the policy agenda for the Lee Jaemyung administration, on the 7th to "first select policies that are low-cost with high tangible benefits, as well as those that are appropriately costed with high tangible benefits." He added, "It would be best to prioritize policies that can maximize public utility with relatively less budget."

Attending the plenary meeting of the National Policy Planning Committee held at the Changgyeong-dong Annex of the Government Complex Seoul in the afternoon, Prime Minister Kim said, "Please prioritize the tasks that can deliver results quickly." Following a luncheon with President Lee Jaemyung, where they agreed to hold regular weekly meetings, Prime Minister Kim stated, "I intend to address the three major national tasks of security, order, and people's livelihoods through the three approaches of speed, communication, and results." He also said, "I will faithfully implement the national directions and plans organized by the National Policy Planning Committee." In addition, Prime Minister Kim requested that the preparation of mid- to long-term national tasks also proceed with a sense of speed.
Prime Minister Kim, referring to his necktie featuring a sheep on a red background, said, "Let us not lose even a single lost sheep, and with a heart that considers the socially vulnerable, let us strive to save all the sheep." The previous day, at a high-level party-government consultation meeting he chaired, he wore a blue necktie with the same sheep pattern. Prime Minister Kim emphasized, "Whether I wear a blue necktie or a red one, fundamentally, it is about working with the intention to save the sheep, to help the socially vulnerable," and called for a bipartisan mindset.
