Fostering Local Talent and Career Counseling in Parallel
Expanding Cooperation with Jeju, the Center of Clean Energy
Third Year Running... Accelerating the Transition to Carbon-Free Energy
Doosan Enerbility, in collaboration with Jeju National University, has launched an initiative to nurture future talent in offshore wind power. Representatives from both organizations visited demonstration sites in Jeonbuk and Jeonnam, where they held a technology exchange event aimed at promoting clean energy and fostering regional cooperation.
On July 7, Doosan Enerbility announced that it had hosted the '2025 Offshore Wind Power Technology Exchange' together with Jeju National University. This exchange event is being held over two days, from July 7 to July 8, at the Southwest Sea Offshore Wind Power Demonstration Complex located in Buan-gun and Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk, as well as the Wind Power Demonstration Center in Yeonggwang-gun, Jeonnam.

This year marks the third edition of the exchange, which brought together a total of about 30 participants, including around 20 professors, researchers, and undergraduate students from Jeju National University, as well as representatives from the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Office and Jeju Energy Corporation. Since 2023, Doosan Enerbility and Jeju National University have been jointly organizing this annual event as part of their offshore wind power technology exchange efforts.
Participants engaged in a range of activities, including on-site tours of the offshore wind power industry, career talks with Jeju National University alumni currently working at Doosan Enerbility, and roundtable discussions on nurturing local talent, all designed to broaden their understanding of the wind power industry as a whole.
Son Seungwoo, Head of the Power Service Business Group at Doosan Enerbility, stated, "Offshore wind power generation technology is one of the key drivers leading the era of carbon neutrality," emphasizing that "nurturing talent and facilitating technology exchange are important foundations." He added, "Going forward, we will continue to faithfully fulfill our role as a cooperative partner that grows together with the region, alongside developing carbon-free energy technologies."
Last year, Doosan Enerbility signed a 'win-win cooperation memorandum of understanding (MOU) for realizing the 2035 Jeju Carbon Neutrality Vision' with Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, and has since continued its collaboration to expand clean energy technologies and nurture local talent. The company is currently participating in a variety of carbon-free energy projects, including the Tamra and Hallim offshore wind power projects in Jeju, as well as wind-linked green hydrogen production plants.
