The event, held at the Wyndham Grand Hotel in Busan, saw the participation of ten industry-academia-research organizations including Dong-A University, as well as the Shinpyeong-Jangnim Industrial Complex Council in Saha-gu, Busan, among others.

With more than 200 industry-academia-research officials in attendance, the discussions focused on establishing a field-based cooperation system centered on local industrial complexes and developing strategies for nurturing future industrial talent.

This agreement is being promoted as part of the Ministry of Education's 'Glocal University 30' project, and the event included a technology seminar covering the latest industrial issues such as ESG management, smart manufacturing, and AI.

On the day of the event, key institutional leaders including Lee Haewoo, President of Dong-A University, Kim Sungjae, Head of the Glocal University Promotion Team, Lee Gapjun, Mayor of Saha-gu, and Gil Kyungseok, Director of the Busan Industry-Academia Convergence Center, attended and shared a joint vision for regional innovation.

To enhance the effectiveness of field-based cooperation, organizations such as the Shinpyeong-Jangnim Industrial Complex Management Corporation, the Jangnim Surface Treatment Business Cooperative, the Fashion Color Industry Cooperative, and the Seafood Processing Specialized Business Cooperative also participated in the business agreement. The agreement covers eight areas, including talent cultivation, technical support, education-employment linkage, R&D cooperation, and youth job creation.

The technology seminar on the same day focused on strategies for securing corporate competitiveness encompassing ESG and digital transformation. Following the event, demand surveys and networking programs were conducted for participating companies.

Based on this agreement, Dong-A University plans to develop industry-academia-research linked curricula, expand internships and practical projects, and secure branch bases, thereby concretizing a regionally centered innovation model focused on the Dongseo Integrated Industrial Complex.

President Lee Haewoo stated, "Today's agreement marks a meaningful beginning by presenting a new model for joint growth among industrial complexes, universities, and local governments," adding, "The ESG management, smart manufacturing, and AI technologies discussed at the seminar will be important solutions to the challenges faced by the industrial sector."

Kim Sungjae, Head of the Glocal University Promotion Team, commented, "Building a regional industry-academia cooperation ecosystem where universities, industries, and the local community grow together is at the core of Glocal University 30," and added, "We will continue to spread a sustainable development model."
