Chosun University announced on July 7 that it held the opening ceremony for the "CSU Summer School for Prospective International Students of the 2025 Academic Year" and officially launched the program.
The "CSU Summer School," organized by the university's Office of International Cooperation, is a short-term intensive program designed for prospective international students who wish to enroll at Chosun University. The program was created to respond to the growing demand for studying in Korea, to expand the recruitment of international students, and to strengthen friendly relations with its sister schools in Mongolia.
Among the participants are 126 students from sister schools in Mongolia. The students arrived in Korea on July 1, completed a two-day, one-night cultural experience at Muju Taekwondowon, and then moved into the Chosun University dormitory.
The training program, which spans 10 days and 9 nights, features a diverse schedule including intensive Korean language education, a tour of the Chosun University campus, traditional cultural experiences, visits to major institutions in Gwangju, and a trip to Everland. The program focuses on improving participants' language skills and helping them better understand life in Korea.
Chosun University expects that this program will provide prospective international students with practical information about studying abroad, foster a positive image of the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions as well as the university, and further strengthen its cooperative relationships with sister schools.
Kim Hyunwoo, Director of External Cooperation, stated, "The CSU Summer School is more than just a short-term experience; it is a valuable opportunity for prospective international students to get a preview of their future at Chosun University. We will continue our efforts to establish Chosun University as a global institution that international students around the world can trust and choose."
