Goryeong County (Governor Lee Namcheol) is operating customized certification programs to support the reemployment of women whose careers have been interrupted due to marriage, childbirth, or childcare.
On July 7, the county announced that from August 12 to September 30, it will simultaneously run a training course for the Organization and Storage Certification and a support program for obtaining the Caregiver Certificate. This training is part of a regionally specialized employment project aimed at enhancing local women's employability and lowering barriers to job seeking.
The Organization and Storage Certification course focuses on systematic organizing skills, including principles of storage and practical training for organizing clothing and bedding. The course is free of charge and will be held once a week for eight weeks.
The Caregiver Certificate program is designed to reduce the financial burden of education by partially supporting tuition, textbook fees, and exam fees incurred when acquiring the certificate. The program aims to facilitate stable employment connections in fields such as long-term care.
Eligible applicants are women who have lived in Goryeong County for more than one year and are either career-interrupted or preparing for employment. Applications can be submitted in person at the Family Happiness Division of the Goryeong County Office or at each township and town administrative welfare center, as well as by email or fax. The application form and submission methods can be found in the notices section of the county office website.
Lee Namcheol, Governor of Goryeong County, stated, "We are continuously identifying effective vocational training programs to help local women return to work," and added, "We will actively support the economic reintegration and capacity development of women whose careers have been interrupted."
