Masan Fire Station Enhances Emergency Response Capabilities
Masan Fire Station in Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam Province, announced that six students from the Department of Emergency Medical Services at Masan University will participate in on-site training by riding along in 119 ambulances until the 25th.
This training program is designed to provide hands-on experience for students of the Department of Emergency Medical Services, aiming to cultivate professional emergency medical personnel capable of responding to various pre-hospital emergencies, from dispatch to patient transfer to the hospital.
During the four-week program, the students will be assigned to various centers within Masan Fire Station, where they will accompany paramedics in ambulances and be deployed to real emergency scenes. Through these actual emergency operations, they are expected to learn about the importance of the golden hour in urgent situations and gain practical understanding of the emergency medical field.
Jang Changmun, Chief of Masan Fire Station, stated, "As field experience is crucial, I hope that students will develop practical skills through this on-site training and that it will serve as a foundation for their growth into future professional emergency medical technicians."
