Park Sangwoong Announces 9.75 Billion Won Investment in Vulnerable Areas of Miryang, Uiryeong, and Haman

Miryang, Uiryeong, and Haman Selected for the 2026 Vulnerable Area Living Conditions Improvement Project
Over 9.7 Billion Won to Be Invested to Upgrade Housing and Infrastructure in Three Regions

On July 7, Park Sangwoong, a member of the People Power Party (representing Miryang, Uiryeong, Haman, and Changnyeong in South Gyeongsang Province, and serving as Deputy Floor Leader), announced that Miryang City, Uiryeong County, and Haman County in South Gyeongsang Province have been finally selected as new target areas for the "2026 Vulnerable Area Living Conditions Improvement Project" promoted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.

Park Sangwoong Announces 9.75 Billion Won Investment in Vulnerable Areas of Miryang, Uiryeong, and Haman Imcheon Village, Samrangjin-eup, Miryang City.

As a result, a total of 9,759 million won in national and local government funds will be invested in these three regions to implement projects aimed at improving residential conditions in areas lacking basic living infrastructure such as housing, safety, and sanitation, thereby enhancing the quality of life for residents.


First, in Imcheon Village, Samrangjin-eup, Miryang City, 4,015 million won will be invested over five years from 2026 to 2030 for alleyway paving, renovation of old walls, and remodeling of the senior citizens' center.


In addition, in Hahyeo Village and Ikgu Village, Burim-myeon, Uiryeong-gun, a total of 3,527 million won will be invested over four years from next year to 2029 to carry out projects such as repair and maintenance of old houses and improvement of aging roads, thereby expanding living infrastructure.


In Sindung Village, Daesan-myeon, Haman-gun, a project worth 2,217 million won will be implemented over four years from 2026 to renovate old houses and improve the village environment.


Park Sangwoong stated, "Through this project, residents who have endured inconveniences such as collapsed walls and ceiling leaks for a long time will now be able to live in a safer and more pleasant environment." He added, "I will continue to work closely with the central government and city and county authorities to secure national funding and do my utmost to improve residential conditions and achieve balanced development."
