"Emphasis on Preventing Safety Accidents Such as Heat Waves"
Calls for Reliable Construction and Minimizing Inconvenience for Residents
Lee Seunghwa, the governor of Sancheong County, inspected major construction project sites and emphasized the prevention of summer safety accidents such as heat waves, as well as the minimization of inconvenience for residents.
On July 7, Sancheong County announced that Governor Lee had visited and inspected key project sites in the region, including the site of the expansion and paving of the access road to the Veterans Memorial Park.
During the inspection, he checked the management of safety facilities and whether the three major preventive measures against heatstroke (providing shade, water, and rest breaks) were being observed in preparation for heat waves.
He especially called for heightened attention to summer safety accidents and urged thorough and reliable construction. He also emphasized minimizing inconvenience for residents by promptly addressing minor issues that can be handled immediately on site and by installing additional safety facilities as needed.
Governor Lee stated, "Heat waves are a serious factor that threatens the health and lives of workers, so safety must be the top priority. We will create an accident-free work environment through thorough on-site inspections and preventive measures," adding, "I will continue to visit sites to prevent safety accidents and inconvenience to residents."
