Dongkuk Steel Group announced on July 7 that it held a ceremony to mark its 71st anniversary at its headquarters, the Ferrum Tower in Euljiro, Seoul, as well as at its regional business sites.

The three companies?Dongkuk Holdings, Dongkuk Steel, and Dongkuk CM?have continued the founding spirit of their parent company, Dongkuk Steel (now Dongkuk Holdings), and have designated July 7 as their annual founding day. This year's event was held in a simple format, including a video screening and awards for long-serving employees. On this day, the group released a commemorative video titled "Dialogue of Time," featuring the voice of the late former Chairman Jang Sangtae, on its official YouTube channel. After the ceremony, the "Nanumjigi Volunteer Group" carried out volunteer activities at welfare facilities near major business sites in Seoul, Busan, Pohang, Incheon, and Dangjin.
Choi Samyoung, CEO of Dongkuk Steel, stated, "Dongkuk Steel is a company that has grown through crises," and added, "Let us communicate together with a broad perspective, flexible thinking, and meticulous execution." Park Sanghoon, CEO of Dongkuk CM, emphasized, "Let us leap forward again based on our accumulated experience and capabilities." Shin Yongjun, Head of Strategy at Dongkuk Holdings, said, "'Listening' is the essence of on-site management," and added, "Tradition is the power that opens the future."
