Changnyeong County Community Security Council Holds Appointment Ceremony for 7th Representative Council

Fulfilling the Role of Strengthening Local Welfare

Changnyeong County in South Gyeongsang Province announced that the Changnyeong County Community Security Council held the appointment ceremony for the 7th Representative Council at the county government conference room.

The appointment ceremony, held on July 4, proceeded in the following order: presentation of appointment letters, election of the private sector co-chair and vice-chair, and an explanation of the council's roles and key projects.

The 7th Representative Council consists of a total of 24 members, with a term of two years. The members are composed of representatives from organizations and institutions related to social security, nominees recommended by nonprofit private organizations, chairs of township and town community security councils, and public officials involved in social security, representing a wide range of expertise.

Park Manwoo, head of the Changnyeong County branch of the Gyeongnam Association of Social Workers, was elected as the private sector co-chair, while Shin Hyoeun, head of the Changnyeong County Association of Daycare Centers, was elected as vice-chair.

The Changnyeong County Community Security Council is composed of the Representative Council, the Working-level Council, 14 township and town councils, and 8 working-level subcommittees. It plays a role in strengthening local welfare through a collaborative system based on a horizontal network.

Park Manwoo, the private sector co-chair, stated, "As the central axis of public-private cooperation, the Community Security Council will actively identify welfare blind spots and connect various welfare resources, taking the lead in creating a welfare environment that residents can truly experience."

Changnyeong County plans to continue strengthening public-private cooperation to establish an even more comprehensive welfare system.
