KakaoBank has partnered with the virtual asset exchange Coinone to launch its eighth branded savings account product, "Savings Account with Coinone."
KakaoBank's "Branded Savings Account" is a product that allows users to save spare change under 1,000 KRW from their accounts, up to a maximum of 100,000 KRW, while also offering benefits from partner companies. "Savings Account with Coinone" is the eighth branded savings account, introduced in collaboration with the virtual asset exchange Coinone, and offers Bitcoin exchange vouchers as rewards based on the number of deposits and the total amount saved.
"Savings Account with Coinone" is available for 21 days, from July 7 to July 27, and is limited to one account per adult aged 19 or older. Customers who do not yet have a savings account must first open a KakaoBank "Savings Account" before signing up. By August 3, 700,000 customers who have made at least one successful deposit will be selected by lottery to receive a "1,000 KRW Bitcoin Exchange Voucher."
Additionally, among customers who newly register with Coinone by July 27, 100,000 people who have accumulated savings of at least 5,000 KRW will be selected by lottery to receive an additional "3,000 KRW Bitcoin Exchange Voucher."
In addition to the "Bitcoin Exchange Voucher," various other prizes will be awarded by lottery, including a hotel lunch course voucher for two (10 winners), a 3,000 KRW convenience store voucher (500 winners), and a coffee voucher (2,000 winners). Details about the event and further information can be found in the KakaoBank app.
KakaoBank stated, "We are expanding our areas of collaboration beyond everyday benefits such as food, retail, and travel, to include the virtual asset trading sector," and added, "We will continue to introduce a variety of branded savings accounts that offer tangible benefits to our customers."
