Test Drive Event Held from July 4 to 6
Hyundai Motor Company announced on July 7 that it had successfully completed a test drive event allowing participants to directly experience the innovative features of the new NEXO.
The event, which took place over three days from July 4 to July 6, was attended by approximately 217 people. Participants included not only general customers but also members of Hyundai Motor Club?a club voluntarily formed by Hyundai brand enthusiasts?as well as members of NEXO Cafe, a club for NEXO owners and hydrogen industry professionals.
Among the activities, a long-distance test drive event called 'NEXO Visits for You' was held on July 4 and July 5.
This program consisted of a long-distance course covering approximately 880 kilometers, starting in Seoul and passing through four major cities: Gwangju, Busan, Chungju, and Chuncheon.
Members of Hyundai Motor Club and NEXO Cafe who participated as drivers were able to directly experience the maximum single-charge driving range of up to 720 kilometers and the vehicle's outstanding features. They also had the opportunity to try out the 'Route Planner,' which recommends the optimal travel route by reflecting the real-time status of hydrogen charging stations nationwide.
In addition, in intermediate cities such as Gwangju, Busan, and Chungju, participants took part in NEXO guerrilla test drive events for local members, organized through the clubs' online boards.
On July 6, Hyundai Motor Company held the 'Drive NEXO Together' test drive event in Chuncheon, the final destination of the long-distance test drive. Participants had the opportunity to experience the NEXO's eco-friendly performance and advanced technology by driving approximately 30 kilometers (about 40 minutes) around Chuncheon in Gangwon Province.
On that day, in addition to the test drives, Hyundai Motor Company provided 'Before Service' to enhance customer satisfaction, including basic performance inspections, maintenance consultations, checks and refills of oil and coolant, bulb replacements, and inspections of tire pressure and wear.
Furthermore, a dedicated consultation booth was set up on site to provide purchase consultations, and a food truck was arranged to offer food and beverages to customers waiting for their test drives, among other convenience services for event attendees.
A Hyundai Motor Company representative said, "We received an enthusiastic response from customers by providing an opportunity to directly experience NEXO's excellent long-distance driving performance and eco-friendly technology," and added, "We will continue to contribute to the expansion of hydrogen electric vehicles and the realization of carbon neutrality through a variety of experiential events."
