Hampyeong County in South Jeolla Province announced on July 7 that it recently held a meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with Portlogics Global Sdn. Bhd. (local branch manager Moon Pil) and LogisAll Co., Ltd. (local branch manager Lee Choongwon) to discuss global logistics cooperation strategies.

During the meeting, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on strengthening logistics cooperation, major export items, and the development of mutual cooperation models to ensure stable exports of agricultural specialty products. The county also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Portlogics, further solidifying their collaborative relationship.

This meeting is expected to serve as an important first step toward the successful launch of the "Hampyeongcheonji Distribution Cluster," a public-private partnership initiative led by Hampyeong County. The cluster is scheduled to officially launch in September and will include key agricultural organizations such as the Hampyeong branch of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, six local agricultural and livestock cooperatives, the Horticultural Cooperative Joint Business Corporation, and the Integrated RPC. Through close public-private cooperation, the cluster will not only handle distribution and export, but also provide comprehensive functions such as professional workforce training, brand development, and marketing.

County Governor Lee Sangik stated, "We will lay the foundation for Hampyeong agricultural products to enter the global market through close cooperation with logistics and distribution companies," adding, "We will continue to participate in overseas exhibitions to enhance our export competitiveness."
