Participating for the Second Consecutive Year
Providing ESG Diagnosis, Consulting, and Improvement Activities to Partner Companies
The Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership (KCCP) announced on July 7 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Incheon International Airport Corporation to promote the '2025 ESG Support Program for Partner Companies.'
This agreement is part of a joint effort to spread an ESG management culture throughout the Incheon Airport ecosystem and to expand practical support for strengthening the ESG capabilities of small and medium-sized partner companies. Incheon International Airport Corporation is participating in the program for the second consecutive year, continuing to build a sustainable, mutually beneficial ecosystem with its partners through ESG initiatives. As a result of last year's agreement, ESG education and consulting were provided to a total of 10 partner companies, and their ESG compliance rate improved from the previous average of 39.0% to 80.2%.
This year, based on these achievements, the scale of support will be expanded to three times that of the previous year, and the scope, target, and expertise of the support will be significantly strengthened. Incheon International Airport Corporation will jointly develop customized ESG evaluation indicators based on the KCCP's 'ESG Standard Guidelines for SMEs,' and will provide comprehensive ESG diagnosis, consulting, and improvement activities to its partner companies. Partner companies with outstanding evaluation results will receive an 'ESG Excellent SME Certificate' issued by the KCCP, which will entitle them to a variety of benefits.
Meanwhile, Incheon International Airport Corporation is carrying out various ESG initiatives to achieve carbon neutrality in airport operations, including expanding renewable energy, establishing electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and introducing eco-friendly facilities. The company has also continued to expand field-based mutual growth activities such as customized growth support, technology cooperation, and overseas market entry support for partner companies.
Lee Dalgon, Chairman of the KCCP, stated, "This agreement is a meaningful milestone that connects Incheon Airport, a global gateway, and its partner SMEs through ESG, the new language of growth," adding, "We will continue to serve as a trusted connector so that public institutions and companies of all sizes can design a sustainable future together."
Lee Hakjae, President of Incheon International Airport Corporation, said, "Mutual cooperation with partner SMEs plays a crucial role in securing the future competitiveness of Incheon Airport," and added, "We will strive to secure global competitiveness through mutual growth by providing tailored ESG support to a diverse range of partner SMEs."
