From January to the end of June this year, Baedal Teukgeup attracted approximately 114,000 new members, representing a 249% increase compared to about 46,000 new members during the same period last year. The number of orders reached approximately 1.43 million, a 127% increase compared to about 1.13 million orders last year.

Since its launch in December 2020, Baedal Teukgeup has achieved a cumulative transaction volume of 441.3 billion KRW, a total of 1.35 million members, and about 70,000 affiliated stores as of the end of June this year.

Baedal Teukgeup is a public delivery app created by Gyeonggi Province to promote mutual benefit for small business owners and consumers who suffer from excessive commission fees charged by private delivery apps. The service is available in 31 cities and counties in Gyeonggi Province and, by integrating with local currency, serves as a strong support for local businesses.

In particular, this year, discount support provided through the "2025 First Half Gyeonggi Big Sale to Revitalize the Economy," promoted by the Gyeonggi-do Market Promotion Agency, gained significant popularity among consumers. The agency offered discounts for nine days from June 21 to June 29, targeting three public delivery apps linked to Gyeonggi Province’s local currency (Baedal Teukgeup, Ttaenggyeoyo, and Meokgaebi).

Among these, Baedal Teukgeup was the first to exhaust 50,000 discount coupons within just six days of the event's launch, providing substantial support to affiliated store owners. During this year's Big Sale period, Baedal Teukgeup recorded a transaction volume of approximately 2.4 billion KRW, a 228% improvement compared to the same event period last year.

Baedal Teukgeup is also actively participating in a 65 billion KRW public delivery app activation consumer coupon project in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, aiming to boost performance in the second half of the year. Additionally, the company is making continuous efforts to enhance brand awareness through customized marketing for different customer types and public idea contests. Other initiatives include launching an online store for sanitary products for female adolescents in partnership with Baedal Teukgeup and piloting the Hyodo Teukgeup project in collaboration with the Jojong Traditional Market Merchants’ Association in Gapyeong County, as part of its efforts to expand into a comprehensive public platform.

Lee Jaejun, CEO of Gyeonggi Province Corporation, stated, "As Baedal Teukgeup boasts improved performance compared to last year, it is achieving much of its goal of fostering mutual benefit for small business owners and consumers. We will actively pursue more diverse promotions, platform expansion, and functional improvements in collaboration with developers to further strengthen our role as a guardian of Gyeonggi Province’s local businesses."

Meanwhile, Baedal Teukgeup plans to introduce new features in the second half of the year, including Onnuri gift certificate payments and in-person payment options, to maintain its strong performance from the first half.
