Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation Launches County Tour '5070 Career Transition Program'

The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation is recruiting trainees for the 'Gyeonggi 5070 Gray It-Job Tour,' a county-by-county program designed to support successful reemployment for middle-aged and older adults.

The term 'Gray It-Job Tour' is a compound word combining 'Gray,' symbolizing the middle-aged and older generation, 'It,' meaning to stand out, and 'Job Tour,' referring to the journey of seeking employment. It signifies a special journey in which individuals in their 50s and 60s leverage their unique career backgrounds to find new job opportunities.

This initiative consists of four programs: the 5070 Culinary Employment Specialization Course, the Heavy Equipment Operation and Drone-Based Industrial Facility Safety Inspection Course, the K-Group Catering Chef Course, and the Practical Forklift Operation Course for Moving Heavy Loads. A total of 155 trainees will be recruited.

In particular, the programs will be held at four educational institutions in Suwon, Bucheon, Uijeongbu, and Paju within the province, improving accessibility for participants. Each course will have a professional career counselor assigned to provide comprehensive employment services, including personalized counseling, job placement, and post-employment support.

Yoon Deokryong, CEO of the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation, stated, "We plan to provide comprehensive employment services that organically connect education, counseling, and job placement, so that the 5070 generation can successfully reenter the workforce based on their wealth of experience and expertise. We will continue to expand the 'Gyeonggi 5070 Gray It-Job Tour' so that it can firmly establish itself as a program that strongly supports successful career transitions for middle-aged and older adults in the province."

Residents who wish to participate in the training can receive detailed consultations at the 'Gyeonggi-do 5070 Job Fair,' which will be held at Suwon Messe (Exit 2 of Suwon Station) on July 9.
