Former President Yoon Seokyeol's side protested on the 6th, calling the special prosecutor's request for a detention warrant an "excessive request."
On this day, Yoon's legal team issued a statement, asserting, "We have thoroughly explained the facts regarding the charges and have made it clear that the alleged crimes cannot be established under the law."
The legal team further stated, "No objective evidence was presented during the special prosecutor's investigation, and even according to the statements of those involved, the alleged crimes are not substantiated. We will demonstrate in court that the special prosecutor's request for a detention warrant is excessive."

Special Prosecutor Cho Eonseok's team, which is investigating the 12·3 Martial Law-related rebellion and treason case, announced that they filed a request for a detention warrant for former President Yoon at 5:20 p.m. on the same day at the Seoul Central District Court.
The charges applied include obstruction of special official duties related to interference with the execution of an arrest warrant, abuse of authority obstructing the exercise of rights related to the Martial Law State Council meeting, and falsification of official documents related to the post-martial law proclamation. The ongoing investigation into treason charges has not yet been included.
