"Up to 300,000 Won Rebate for Top Efficiency Appliances"
Enhanced Benefits for High-Efficiency Home Appliances
On July 6, LG Electronics and Samsung Electronics announced that they would significantly enhance benefits for purchasing high-efficiency home appliances in line with the government’s “Top Efficiency Appliance Rebate Program.”
The “Top Efficiency Appliance Rebate Program” is a government policy that refunds 10% of the purchase price (up to 300,000 won) when purchasing home appliances with the highest energy efficiency rating. Eligible items include televisions, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, kimchi refrigerators, dishwashers, and air purifiers.
LG Electronics attaches a “Top Efficiency Rebate” label to products so customers can easily identify eligible items, and supports rebates for products purchased at Best Shop locations nationwide and through the online brand shop. Products used through a “subscription” model are also eligible for the rebate.
In addition, LG Electronics is holding a “Top Efficiency Appliance Festa” event. Customers who purchase eligible products and enter through the LG Electronics membership app will have a chance to win prizes such as a Styler, Aero Furniture, or mobile gift certificates through a drawing. For online purchases, discount coupons worth up to 500,000 won are provided.
LG Electronics promotes its proprietary “Core Tech” component technology, such as inverters that precisely control the rotation speed of motors and compressors, as a key technology for high-efficiency appliances. In cooperation with “E-Circular Governance,” customers who purchase “E-Circular Excellent Products” by subscription at Best Shop locations will receive up to 50,000 points per product (Naver Pay or Kakao Pay) as a rebate. This event runs until July 31.
Samsung Electronics also offers additional benefits beyond the government rebate for purchasing top efficiency appliances. At Samsung Store, customers receive up to 10% of the list price as Samsung Electronics membership points, and at Samsung.com, select models are eligible for discount coupons of up to 10%. Furthermore, when purchasing two or more AI appliances together, up to 50,000 points are provided additionally depending on the item. In particular, 100,000 points are separately awarded for promotional QLED TV models.
Most of Samsung Electronics’ top efficiency appliances are equipped with SmartThings-based “AI Saving Mode,” which can reduce power consumption by up to 60%. Additionally, customers who save more than 400Wh per day receive energy stamps, and the “SmartThings Energy Rewards” event, which allows these stamps to be converted into membership points, runs until the end of September.
