Hana Financial Group announced on the 6th that it had carried out the 'Happy Box Delivery and Happy Joomgging' employee volunteer activity for coexistence with local small business owners, in collaboration with the Myeong-dong Merchants Association.
This volunteer activity was organized to deliver happiness to small business owners struggling with rising prices and economic downturn, and to revitalize the local community. On this day, about 100 group employees and their families personally made and delivered 'Happy Boxes' for small business owners, and also participated in 'Happy Joomgging' to help create a cleaner commercial district.
Early on the weekend morning, employees and their families gathered in the main auditorium of the group's Myeong-dong headquarters to pack 200 customized 'Happy Boxes' for local small business owners and personally deliver them to about 100 nearby stores. The 'Happy Boxes' contained essential items for business operations, including standard garbage bags, nitrile kitchen gloves, hand sanitizer, dishwashing detergent, as well as cool sleeves and sun umbrellas to help cope with the summer heat.
In addition, while delivering the 'Happy Boxes,' employees and their families also participated in 'Happy Joomgging,' picking up trash scattered around business sites. Despite the hot weather, everyone from children to adults took part in the activity with enthusiasm for the benefit of local small business owners, reflecting on the significance of environmental protection, health, and coexistence with small businesses.
One small business owner who received a 'Happy Box' said, "Recently, I have been worried because the number of customers has decreased, but having people come in person to deliver the necessary items and even clean around the store was a great help," adding, "The sincerity of Hana Financial Group, which never forgets to visit us during difficult times, is a great comfort."
An employee who participated in the volunteer activity shared, "Although it was a small act, I was happy to bring joy to small business owners with my child and to help make the streets we walk every day cleaner," and added, "I will continue to actively participate in various activities for coexistence with local small business owners."
Meanwhile, Hana Financial Group is taking the lead in genuine coexistence finance for small business owners. In addition to the 'Hana Power On Store' project, which supports the competitiveness of small businesses through high-efficiency digital equipment, signboard replacement, and interior repairs, the group is also continuing a variety of ESG activities that provide real help to the local community, such as free meal support for vulnerable groups.
