Coffee Coupon Lottery for Participants
Geumcheon-gu, Seoul is holding an idea contest for job creation until July 25. The district has organized the contest to collect ideas that can generate jobs specifically tailored to Geumcheon-gu. The goal is to discover sustainable ideas that can contribute to job creation and later reflect them in district administration.
The contest covers four categories: 'local specialization,' which leverages the unique characteristics of Geumcheon-gu; 'social value creation,' which addresses social issues such as the environment and aging; 'demographic,' which targets groups such as women, youth, middle-aged, and seniors; and 'startup support,' which is aimed at aspiring entrepreneurs and startup support initiatives.
Anyone interested in jobs in Geumcheon-gu can submit up to two ideas. Applicants can download the idea proposal form from the notices section of the Geumcheon-gu Office website, fill it out with the background of the idea, target group, specific details, required budget, and expected effects, and then submit it.
Proposals can be submitted in person to the Job and Youth Division of Geumcheon-gu Office, by email (jyjs0977@geumcheon.go.kr), or through Naver Form (https://m.site.naver.com/1L7cz).
The submitted ideas will be evaluated by experts based on effectiveness, feasibility, local suitability, sustainability, and creativity. Ten winners will be selected and awarded at the end of August: one grand prize winner (500,000 KRW), two excellence award winners (300,000 KRW each), three encouragement award winners (200,000 KRW each), and four effort award winners (100,000 KRW each). In addition, a separate event will be held to provide coffee coupons to 20 participants selected by lottery from among all contest entrants.
Yoo Sung-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, "As we mark the 30th anniversary of the district's founding, I hope many residents will submit innovative ideas to help us discover outstanding jobs that can shape the future of Geumcheon-gu." He added, "We will do our best to gather diverse and creative opinions to create quality jobs."
