At around 9 a.m. that day, former President Yoon arrived in a black vehicle in front of the entrance to the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office building, where the special prosecutor's investigation room is located.
Former President Yoon did not respond to any questions, including whether he intends to apologize to the public, whether he would again refuse to be questioned by Chief Superintendent Park Changhwan, whether he was involved in drafting the post-martial law proclamation, and why he approved the deletion of the post-proclamation statement.
The special prosecutor's team plans to intensively question him regarding obstruction of official duties by preventing the execution of an arrest warrant, violation of the Presidential Security Act related to orders to delete classified phone information, abuse of authority in connection with the martial law cabinet meeting, as well as treason charges. The investigation is also expected to broadly address allegations that he interfered with cabinet members' rights to deliberate and vote on martial law matters, that he attempted to conceal illegal martial law by obtaining post-facto signatures from former Prime Minister Han Ducksoo and others on the martial law proclamation, and that President Yoon allegedly ordered the military's Drone Operations Command to deploy unmanned aerial vehicles over Pyongyang to justify martial law.
