The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspection team departed Iran on July 4 (local time) and returned to its headquarters in Vienna, Austria.
The IAEA announced on X (formerly Twitter) that "the inspection team, which had remained in Tehran during the recent period of military conflict, has safely left Iran."
Rafael Grossi, Director General of the IAEA, stated, "It is important for the IAEA to discuss with Iran ways to resume essential monitoring and verification activities in Iran."
Iran decided to temporarily suspend cooperation with the IAEA in response to the nuclear facility strikes by the United States and Israel.
