Gijang County to Hold "University Admissions Information Session" on July 13... Offering Customized Admission Strategies

Gijang County (Governor Jung Jongbok) will hold the "2026 University Admissions Information Session" at Chaseong Art Hall on July 13, 2025.

This information session is designed to provide local students with practical and in-depth information on preparing for university admissions. It is being promoted as part of the "One-on-One Customized Career and University Admissions Consulting Support Project," in collaboration with the admissions-specialized educational institution Jongro Academy.

On this day, Jung Dongwan, the lead admissions counselor at EBS and an external panelist at Jongro Academy Admissions Research Institute, will conduct the session for students and parents under the theme "Customized Strategies for University Admission Success for the 2026-2028 Academic Years."

The session will systematically cover essential information for university admissions, including: ▲Analysis of the academic standards required by universities for the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) ▲The continuously changing direction of early admissions ▲Preparation methods for the school life record book in response to these changes ▲How to manage the school life record book according to each admissions system from the first to third year of high school.

Students and parents wishing to participate can apply through the Gijang County Career and University Admissions website by July 10, 2025. Participation is limited to the first 350 applicants.

Governor Jung Jongbok stated, "I hope this information session will be a valuable opportunity that provides practical help to students and parents preparing for university admissions," and added, "By providing admissions and career information suited to the rapidly changing educational environment, we will actively work to bridge the educational gap with the Seoul metropolitan area and support the successful university admissions of local students."

Since March 1, 2025, Gijang County has been conducting "One-on-One Customized Career and University Admissions Consulting" with Jongro Academy for students from the third year of middle school to the third year of high school, as well as CSAT examinees. The third round of consulting applications has been underway since June 22, 2025, and further details can be found on the Gijang County Career and University Admissions website.

Additionally, in the second half of the year, Gijang County plans to hold a parent class and an admissions information session for current middle school students on the "University Admissions System for 2029 and Beyond," thereby providing diverse, customized admissions information and expanding the range of support recipients.
