Choo Moongap, Head of Economic Policy at the Korea Federation of SMEs, Receives Industrial Medal
The Seoul Regional Headquarters of the Korea Federation of SMEs announced on July 4 that it co-hosted the "2025 Seoul SME Entrepreneurs Conference" with the Seoul Regional Office of SMEs and Startups at the SME DMC Tower in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
The event was held under the slogan "Cheer Up, SMEs! Korea Running Again!" to honor and encourage SME entrepreneurs who have contributed to national economic development and job creation. Over 200 people attended, including 115 SME merit awardees, government officials, and leaders of economic organizations. Lee Byungkwon, Head of the Seoul Regional Office of SMEs and Startups, Lim Byungchul, Head of the Seoul Regional Public Procurement Service, and Park Jongsuk, President of the Seoul Regional Association, presented awards to outstanding SME contributors in the Seoul region.
At the event, Yoo Seungjae, CEO of PersonaAI, received the Stone Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit. Choo Moongap, Head of Economic Policy at the Korea Federation of SMEs, was awarded the Industrial Medal, and five individuals, including Gye Nankyeong, CEO of Donghak Food, received Presidential Citations.
CEO Yoo was recognized for laying the foundation for growth by developing core technologies for AI conversational engines, securing ongoing achievements in research and development in the AI service sector, contributing to the advancement of the industry, and enhancing national competitiveness by demonstrating technological prowess in the global AI field.
Park Jongsuk, President of the Seoul Regional Association, stated, "All economic actors must demonstrate collective intelligence and wisely overcome the economic crisis to create new opportunities. I will continue to devote myself to developing policies and support projects that can provide practical help for the greater growth of SMEs."
Lee Byungkwon, Head of the Seoul Regional Office of SMEs and Startups, said, "I urge SME entrepreneurs, who are responsible for Korea's economy and jobs, to take pride and continue their efforts at the forefront of our economy. The Seoul Regional Office of SMEs and Startups will also faithfully serve as a strong pillar so that SME entrepreneurs can become proud leaders in Korea's new leap forward and expand globally."
