The New Murabba project is a large-scale urban development initiative by the Saudi Arabian government, aiming to create the world's largest mixed-use downtown in the northwest of Riyadh as part of its Vision 2030 policy. This visit was arranged to explore a foundation for mutual cooperation between Hanam City's ongoing global cultural tourism project, "K-Star World," and the "New Murabba project."

Notably, the visit coincided with the third anniversary of Mayor Lee Hyunjae's inauguration, adding significance to the occasion as it provided an opportunity to meaningfully share Hanam City's future urban vision and urban competitiveness.

On July 3, Mayor Lee Hyunjae and CEO Michael Dyke held a briefing and meeting regarding Hanam City and the K-Star World project in the mayor's office. Afterwards, they visited the Union Tower observatory to view Misa Island, the planned site for K-Star World, and received explanations about the project's direction, implementation strategies, and planned facilities.

Mayor Lee Hyunjae expressed his deep gratitude to CEO Michael Dyke for visiting Hanam City, stating, "K-Star World is a core project aimed at transforming Hanam into a global cultural city based on K-culture. If we are given the opportunity to share experiences and cooperate with large-scale urban development projects like New Murabba, it will serve as a significant starting point for Hanam City to make a great leap forward as a model for future cities."

In particular, both projects share the common goal of "creating a city where people want to live" based on proximity between workplaces and residences. This visit is especially meaningful in that, through mutual cooperation and experience sharing, both sides can establish an exemplary model for future cities where work and life are in harmony.

Additionally, CEO Michael Dyke toured Starfield Hanam, one of Korea's leading commercial and cultural facilities, and expressed keen interest in the residential environment and cultural and shopping infrastructure that allow citizens to enjoy a satisfying quality of life.

Mayor Lee Hyunjae said, "Hanam is the most livable city in the metropolitan area, blending shopping and cultural complexes like Starfield Hanam with leisure infrastructure such as the Misa Hangang Sand Trail. We will continue to pursue the best urban growth in the metropolitan area through exchanges with major global cities and innovative development projects." CEO Michael Dyke also expressed strong interest in Hanam City's high-quality residential environment and Mayor Lee's vision for the future.

Meanwhile, Hanam City is preparing to become a future self-sustaining city, focusing on large-scale development projects such as K-Star World, Gyosan New Town self-sufficiency sites, and Camp Colbern.

Going forward, Hanam City plans to establish cooperative networks with renowned figures who lead world-class development projects, integrating advice gained from extensive experience to ensure successful development. The city aims to realize a livable city where work and life are in balance through the creation of large-scale cultural complexes, while also accelerating efforts to attract high-quality companies, create good jobs, and improve income structures to become a prosperous city.
