Goyang City Recruits Trainees for 'Future Technology School'

Recruitment Begins on July 7... Eight-Week Program Starts July 28
Goyang Special City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Donghwan) announced on July 4 that it will begin recruiting trainees for the 'AWS Cloud-Based Fourth Industrial Revolution Specialist Training Program' for unemployed youth starting from July 7, in order to respond to the rapidly changing digital industrial environment.

This training is part of the 'Future Technology School' project, which is a key initiative of Goyang City. The program provides practical training in core technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, such as cloud computing, as well as portfolio building, employment consulting, and mentoring by industry professionals, all designed to support youth in gaining real opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship.
In particular, this program goes beyond simple theoretical education by including special lectures by company professionals, corporate site visits, workshops, and the provision of a Learning Management System (LMS), all aimed at enhancing the practical skills of trainees.
Upon completion of the program, participants will be actively supported in finding employment through connections with future job projects, employment matching days, and youth job fairs.
The training will be conducted offline at 'Naeil Dream Workshop,' a youth complex space in Goyang City, over an eight-week period starting from July 28.
The program is open to 20 young people aged 18 to 39 (born between 1986 and 2007) who reside in Goyang City. Applicants with a strong interest in the cloud field and a strong will to find employment will be given priority. The training is completely free of charge, and a certain training allowance will be provided to those with an attendance rate of 80% or higher each month.
The application period runs from July 7 to July 18. Final trainees will be selected through document screening and interviews after online application.
An official from Goyang Special City stated, "The Future Technology School is a project that helps young people develop practical skills so they can enter high value-added industries in the era of digital transformation," adding, "We hope for the active participation of young people interested in the Fourth Industrial Revolution sector."
Goyang Special City plans to continuously discover and promote youth-tailored policies and employment and entrepreneurship support projects, using 'Naeil Dream Workshop' as a base for youth support.
