On July 4, the Chungnam Provincial Office of Education held an 'Audit Advisory Committee Appointment Ceremony' in the conference room of the provincial office to enhance the expertise and credibility of its audit operations.
The newly appointed audit advisory committee consists of a total of seven members: four external members with extensive expertise and experience in audit tasks, and three internal ex officio members.
They will officially begin their advisory activities for a two-year term from July 8, 2025, to July 7, 2027.
The advisory committee members will play a role in strengthening the professionalism of the audit function by providing advice on the appropriateness of audit methods and setting directions for audits in vulnerable areas, covering the overall audit activities of the Audit Office.
Kim Ji-cheol, Superintendent of Education, stated, "As public awareness of integrity and fairness in our society continues to rise, the role of audits is becoming increasingly important," and added, "I hope that with the active participation of the committee members, the audit function of the Chungnam Provincial Office of Education will earn even greater trust."
Meanwhile, the Audit Advisory Committee of the provincial office was first established in 2019 and has been recognized for contributing to the improvement of audit capabilities through various suggestions and professional advice to date.
