For Households Receiving Housing or Education Benefits and Near-Poverty Households
Save 100,000 Won Monthly for 3 Years and Receive Up to 7.6 Million Won in Matching Support
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province is recruiting applicants for the 'Hope Savings Account II' program until July 22, aiming to encourage employment motivation and support self-reliance among low-income households.
Under this program, if a participant saves 100,000 won each month, the government provides matching earned income incentives. The monthly government support is 100,000 won in the first year, 200,000 won in the second year, and 300,000 won in the third year. By making deposits for three years, participants can accumulate up to 10.8 million won in assets.
Eligible applicants include households receiving housing or education benefits, as well as near-poverty households with an income at or below 50% of the median income. At least one household member must be engaged in employment activities.
Interest is accrued separately, and if participants meet requirements such as completing education and counseling at maturity, they can receive the full amount. Those interested can apply at their local Eup, Myeon, or Dong Administrative Welfare Center. For more details, contact the Hwaseong City Welfare Division.
