Global Web3 venture capital firm Hashed announced on July 4 that it will co-host the "Blockchain Leaders Summit Tokyo 2025 (BLS Tokyo 2025)" with prominent Japanese venture capital firm B Dash Ventures in Tokyo, Japan, on August 27.
BLS Tokyo 2025 is a private, invitation-only conference that brings together global Web3 leaders and key figures from the Japanese government, institutions, and industry. The event aims to promote the mutually beneficial development of the Asian Web3 industry and to strengthen global cooperation frameworks. As the Japanese government seeks to foster the Web3 industry as a future growth engine, the summit is drawing attention as a strategic platform for ecosystem development and collaboration.
This summit is a key event to realize the vision of "Japan as Asia's Web3 hub," which Hashed CEO Simon Kim has consistently emphasized. Last year, the inaugural BLS Tokyo was held in central Tokyo, attracting about 50 global Web3 experts and approximately 300 participants, including representatives from the Japanese government, financial institutions, and major corporations. The event received an enthusiastic response for its in-depth discussions on technology trends, regulatory issues, and policy directions across the Web3 industry.
BLS Tokyo 2025 will cover a wide range of key topics, including regulatory and legal frameworks for the Web3 industry, on-chain utilization of intellectual property (IP), stablecoin issuance and distribution structures, technological convergence of artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain, and real-world asset (RWA) tokenization in actual industry applications.
Going beyond the typical presentation-focused conference format, the summit will provide opportunities for practical exchange and collaboration, including project booth exhibitions, investor-developer matchmaking programs, and closed-door high-level networking sessions.
Simon Kim, CEO of Hashed, stated, "Hashed has strategically built the Web3 ecosystem around key Asian markets, and Japan is considered the market with the greatest potential among them. Last year's inaugural summit confirmed the possibility of collaboration between Japan and the global Web3 community, so this year we aim to create even more substantive and in-depth partnerships."
Ryuichi Nishida, Director of B Dash Ventures, said, "Recently, the Japanese government has been rapidly improving the institutional environment by allowing stablecoin issuance and easing tax regulations for blockchain-related companies. Interest from investors and companies is intensifying across the industry. BLS Tokyo 2025 will provide a decisive opportunity for Japanese companies to connect with leading global blockchain projects in this environment."
