Jeongeup City in North Jeolla Province is holding a YouTube video contest to promote the flavors, style, and scenery of Jeongeup nationwide.

Participants are free to create videos introducing Jeongeup, including the 3 Mi, 6 Pum, and 9 Gyeong, as well as local foods, specialty products, and tourist attractions. However, content generated using generative AI will be excluded from judging.

Anyone can enter, from citizens to youth and seniors, either individually or as a team. The city explained that this approach is intended to capture Jeongeup’s appeal from a wider range of perspectives.

Entries must be videos of 1 to 5 minutes in length with a resolution of at least 1920×1080 FHD. Participants should upload their videos to their own YouTube accounts and submit the required documents by email.

Submissions will be accepted from September 1 to November 10. Prize money ranges from a minimum of 1.5 million won to a maximum of 10 million won. Winning entries will be featured on the official Jeongeup City YouTube channel. For further details, contact the Tourism Planning Team at Jeongeup City’s Tourism Division.

Mayor Lee Haksoo stated, "We look forward to content that captures the diverse perspectives and sensibilities on Jeongeup," and added, "We hope this contest will help introduce Jeongeup’s unique charm to the entire nation."
