Korea Citibank Conducts Financial Education Volunteer Activities

Korea Citibank announced that it had carried out a "Small School Economic and Financial Education" volunteer activity at Wangjeon Elementary School in Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province.

The "Small School Economic and Financial Education" program is part of Korea Citibank's employee financial education volunteer group activities. It provides customized financial education to small local schools, leveraging the bank's core financial expertise and practical experience gained in the field.

Since last year, Wangjeon Elementary School has been conducting regular financial education sessions in collaboration with Citibank. In this year's program, senior students received customized lessons on topics such as the evolution of banking, the functions and history of money, trade and exchange rates, and international marketing, all related to global finance. For younger students, the curriculum focused on everyday topics such as consumption and saving, and the concept of money. Citibank employees directly participated as instructors, emphasizing the development of students' economic thinking and expanding their interest in finance. Korea Citibank also supports the production of Wangjeon Elementary School's graduation album, continuing a long-term partnership with the school and developing the initiative into a sustainable cooperation model with the local community, rather than a one-time volunteer activity.

Korea Citibank Conducts Financial Education Volunteer Activities

Korea Citibank was selected as an excellent company and excellent employee for two consecutive years in the "One Company, One School Financial Education" program organized by the Financial Supervisory Service. In 2025, it was the only bank to be named an excellent company.

A Korea Citibank representative stated, "When a financial company contributes to financial education, it goes beyond simple social contribution and represents the return of our expertise and know-how to the local community and future generations. We will continue to support more students in developing balanced financial literacy, focusing on our employee financial education volunteer group."
