July 4-6 at Suseong Artpia
The original children's musical "Ttubi and the Moonlight Knights," produced by the Suseong Cultural Foundation's Suseong Artpia in Daegu, will have its premiere at Suseong Artpia from July 4 to July 6, 2025.
"Ttubi and the Moonlight Knights" is the first original musical produced by Suseong Artpia. The protagonist, Ttubi, is a representative character of Suseong District, and this marks the first case in which a local government's unique intellectual property (IP) has been utilized in the creation of a children's musical.
Suseong Artpia announced that it plans to further expand the universe centered around "Ttubi," with ambitions that include not only a nationwide tour following the premiere but also entry into the global market.
"Ttubi and the Moonlight Knights" has also been selected as a special performance for the 19th Daegu International Musical Festival (DIMF), which is currently underway.
Director Oh Eunseong, who has participated in the production of works such as "Miss Saigon" and "The Play," is serving as both artistic director and producer. The cast includes 10 actors, including Daegu-born musical actor Park Jihoon.
Kim Daekwon, head of Suseong District, stated, "'Ttubi and the Moonlight Knights' is a flagship content that embodies Suseong District's vision as a cultural city, and it will be the first step for the region's creative capabilities to advance beyond the national stage to the world." He emphasized, "Suseong District aims to become a hub for culture and the arts, going beyond its role as a simple administrative district." He added, "We will continue to create a new success model for region-based creativity by expanding content centered on Ttubi."
