Gyeonggi Province to Support K-Beauty Expansion into China with Trade Promotion Delegation

Gyeonggi Province is seeking companies to participate in the 'K-Beauty China Trade Promotion Delegation' until July 14.

The province plans to dispatch small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the K-beauty sector to China, one of the main export destinations for Korean cosmetics, to support on-site one-on-one export consultations with local buyers.

Eligible applicants are SMEs headquartered or with factories in Gyeonggi Province whose direct export volume last year was less than $20 million. Selected companies will receive support for business meetings with local buyers, consultation venues and interpretation, local transportation, and airfare (50% of airfare for one person per company).

Companies wishing to participate should prepare the required documents, such as a business registration certificate and export performance certificate, and submit their application through the Gyeonggi Enterprise Secretary website (www.egbiz.or.kr).

Park Kyungseo, Director of International Trade at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "As global protectionism intensifies and competition in the cosmetics market within China becomes increasingly fierce, we hope that K-beauty SMEs in the province will find a breakthrough for entering the Chinese market through this trade promotion delegation." He added, "Gyeonggi Province will take the lead in providing comprehensive support, from matching with local buyers to consultations and interpretation, to help companies establish a stable export foundation."

Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province has also dispatched trade promotion delegations for electrical and electronic products to North and Central America, and for machinery parts to the Middle East, supporting the expansion of overseas markets for export-oriented SMEs in the province.
