This agreement aims to prepare for the era of mobility and enhance citizens' traffic safety, in line with the changing transportation paradigm brought about by the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The agreement covers: ▲establishing and consulting on mobility improvement plans ▲supporting the introduction and demonstration of advanced mobility means and services ▲developing policies for creating a safe shared mobility environment ▲discovering and managing safety services for mobility-vulnerable groups (such as the elderly and people with disabilities) ▲collecting and sharing data on the status of advanced mobility ▲mutual cooperation and support for international exchanges ▲special safety inspections for Paju's student-only school circulation buses (hydrogen buses) ▲promoting on-site traffic safety education ▲conducting traffic safety publicity and campaigns.

Paju is currently formulating the "Paju City Mobility Improvement Plan" in accordance with the "Act on Support for Mobility Innovation and Activation." Through this MOU with the Korea Transportation Safety Authority, the city plans to jointly address local transportation issues by establishing data-driven, customized plans that reflect regional characteristics.

Kim Kyungil, mayor of Paju, said, "I am confident that with Paju's strong commitment to mobility and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority's leadership in mobility policy, we will soon emerge as a leading city in mobility. After the opening of the GTX-A line, we will seize another opportunity for growth through mobility, which is a future growth engine."
