The "Hidden Workers of Uljin Administration" is a system implemented from the first half of 2025. It was introduced to recognize employees who may not have been highlighted by quantitative achievements or existing reward criteria, but who have produced tangible results in their duties through professional practical skills and outstanding individual capabilities, quietly fulfilling their responsibilities and enhancing the quality of Uljin County’s administrative services.
The three employees selected as hidden workers this time are: Kim Jin-hun, an officer from the Construction Division; Jung Da-jung, an officer from the Public Health Center; and Choi Kyung-hoon, an officer from the Wangpicheon Park Project Office.
Kim Jin-hun (Construction Division) has demonstrated excellent expertise in the field of civil engineering and outstanding ability to resolve civil complaints involving conflicting interests. He has smoothly resolved complaints through objective approaches and rational judgment, and has contributed to mediating disputes between residents by providing administrative solutions.
Jung Da-jung (Public Health Center) has worked proactively to operate projects and improve the quality of life for county residents. She has consistently received praise from residents for her warm and friendly guidance and prompt support. Additionally, she contributed to expanding the scope of the Comprehensive Health Checkup Support Project and improving the application process.
Choi Kyung-hoon (Wangpicheon Park Project Office) possesses a high level of expertise and field-oriented diligence in park landscaping and management. He has enhanced his practical skills through acquiring multiple certifications and effective collaboration, and has especially contributed to improving the quality of landscapes throughout Uljin County, including Wangpicheon Park.
Through this selection of hidden workers, Uljin County plans to actively discover more outstanding public officials who quietly demonstrate their abilities in the field, and to continue expanding this initiative. The county aims to establish a competency-based organizational culture where various forms of administrative expertise and contributions are respected. The awardees received certificates and a prize of 500,000 won each.
County Governor Son Byeong-bok stated, "It is the hidden workers who quietly do their best in their respective positions that are the true driving force behind Uljin County administration. We will continue to actively support and discover outstanding public officials who dedicate themselves quietly, so that citizen-centered and service-oriented administration can take root throughout our organization."
