The Chungnam Provincial Police Agency and the Chungnam Autonomous Police Committee announced on July 3 that they have set a goal to eradicate traffic rule violations, specifically the five major types of reckless driving, and will launch full-scale enforcement activities starting in September.

The police will focus their enforcement on the following five major violations: illegal U-turns, violations of bus-only lanes, blocking intersections, cutting in line, and non-emergency ambulances violating traffic regulations.

For the next two months, the police will operate a preliminary guidance period for these five major violations. During this period, they will select major intersections where traffic rule violations are frequent and display traffic safety banners. They will also conduct public awareness campaigns by broadcasting videos and messages through large electronic billboards and VMS (Variable Message Signs).

An official from the Chungnam Provincial Police Agency stated, "We will strive to enhance the public's sense of safety in Chungnam by continuously promoting compliance with traffic regulations and strictly enforcing the law against disorderly conduct."
