On July 3, Gwangju City announced that it will host the "2025 Da-in Art Night Market" under the theme "A Gourmet Vacation on a Midsummer Night" on Saturdays?July 5, 12, and 19?from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM in the Da-in Art Market area, located in Dong-gu.

The Da-in Art Night Market is a leading nighttime cultural venue that offers a modern reinterpretation of the coexistence between traditional markets and the arts, providing an emotional experience for both young people and family visitors. This year, the event will welcome guests with significantly renewed content and spatial design.

Throughout the entire market, gourmet booths featuring traditional foods and food trucks will be set up, serving as the centerpiece of Saturday evening dining. In particular, a unique Makgeolli series?including "Da-in Matcha Makgeolli" and "Earl Grey Makgeolli"?created through collaboration between young artists and the merchants' association, is drawing attention as a signature content that captures the spirit of Da-in Art Market.

A wide variety of interactive content, enjoyable for all ages, will also be available. "Open Your Heart," a participatory experience stage held on the market rooftop and inspired by a popular 1990s nostalgia program where young people share untold stories, is designed to encourage intergenerational communication.

Other diverse programs will be offered, including a "Giant Tetris Experience" that brings arcade games to life, the KIA Tigers cheering event "KIAya Ga Bozua!," and the children's interactive mission "Owl Expedition Team."

This year’s night market will also unveil a newly revamped owl character symbolizing Da-in Art Market. The new characters?Buyeong, Eoyeong, and Goyeong?will be produced as merchandise and sold at the Art Supermarket. Additionally, a "Children's Drawing Contest" based on the characters' origin story will be held on site, with winning entries to be exhibited at "Hanpyeong Gallery" in August.

Throughout the market, photo zones and emotional spaces capturing retro sensibilities and summer vacation vibes will be set up, offering visitors special memories. Applications to participate can be made via the official blog or Instagram, and further inquiries should be directed to the Da-in Art Market project team.

Jeon Eunok, Director of Culture and Sports, stated, "The Da-in Art Night Market is a leading regional nighttime tourism content that combines both artistry and popular appeal. We hope that many citizens will enjoy a joyful and special summer night at the newly transformed Da-in Art Night Market."
