'A Place to Rest, A Place to Live: Every Corner of Sancheong'
To Be Broadcast on Overseas Channels in November
Sancheong County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on July 3 that it has been selected for the 2025 Regional Collaborative Overseas Promotional Video Content Production Project, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
This project involves collaboration between the Ministry and local governments to produce promotional video content related to local festivals, tourist attractions, cuisine, industries, and notable figures. The videos are primarily produced in English, with two additional languages tailored to local needs, and are intended for both domestic and international promotion.
The county submitted its project titled "A Place to Rest, A Place to Live: Every Corner of Sancheong" and was ultimately selected. This project centers on the theme of families traveling together in search of better relaxation.
In particular, the project received high marks for presenting Sancheong as the ideal destination for both rest (relaxation) and living (health and long-term stays). Accordingly, starting this month, Sancheong County will begin filming and editing the videos, followed by translation and review, before finalizing the video content.
After production, the county plans to promote Sancheong globally through channels such as the Korea.net YouTube channel and other global content platforms, starting in November.
County Governor Lee Seunghwa stated, "It is meaningful that, with the 2025 Year of Visiting Sancheong, we have gained an opportunity for Sancheong to reach out to the world," adding, "We will make every effort to ensure that this project conveys the beauty of Sancheong to the world and helps establish it as a premier destination for wellness tourism."
