Investigation Expected to Gain Speed

The special prosecutor team led by Min Junggi, which is investigating various allegations surrounding Kim Keonhee, has reportedly imposed a travel ban on her.

According to the legal community on July 2, the special prosecutor's team extended the travel ban on Kim Keonhee last month when it took over the case from the prosecution during the investigation preparation period. In addition to Kim Keonhee, several key figures involved in the case are also reported to be subject to the travel ban.

Kim Keonhee had already been banned from leaving the country during the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office investigation. After taking over the case, the special prosecutor reportedly filed a new request for a travel ban.

On this day, the special prosecutor team held an official plaque-hanging ceremony and began its formal investigation. As the prosecution had already made significant progress in some cases, including the Deutsche Motors stock manipulation case, there are expectations that the investigation will proceed swiftly. Depending on the progress of the investigation, Kim Keonhee may be summoned at an early stage.

On July 3, the special prosecutor team will receive all case records related to the 'Myung Taegyun allegations' from the police. The National Police Agency is reportedly planning to collect all investigation materials related to Myung from police agencies nationwide and hand them over to the special prosecutor team on July 3.
