Gimpo City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Byungsoo) announced that it officially opened the newly constructed Geolpo Central Park water playground on July 2, aiming to expand summer leisure spaces for citizens and to provide an urban water play facility.

The Geolpo Central Park water playground covers a total area of 709 square meters and features a children's pool, a combination play structure, a water tunnel, a water revolution, palm tree baskets, and various other water play facilities. In addition, a wall fountain, a rest area, and changing rooms have been created so that families can conveniently use the facility.
In particular, safety personnel will be stationed at all times to prioritize visitor safety, and regular water quality inspections will be conducted to ensure a more hygienic water play environment.
This water playground is the first outdoor water play facility established in the Geolpodong area. It is designed to provide a space for children to cool off during the summer heat and play safely, and it has received an enthusiastic response from citizens since its opening day.
Kim Byungsoo, Mayor of Gimpo City, stated, "Through the construction of this new water playground, we have carefully prepared so that citizens can enjoy a cool and pleasant summer close to home, even in the city. In particular, we will do our utmost to manage and operate the facility so that children can use it safely."
Gimpo City plans to continue expanding child-friendly facilities within residential areas and will make ongoing efforts to improve leisure opportunities for local residents and enhance the park environment.
