Active Request for Support on Key Projects Including the 5th and 6th National and Local Road Construction Plans
On July 2, the city of Miryang, South Gyeongsang Province, announced that it had visited the Busan Regional Land Management Office (headed by Jeon Hyungpil) to explain the feasibility of local pending projects and to request active cooperation and support.
On this day, Mayor Byunggu An met with the head of the Busan Regional Land Management Office and relevant officials to request the approval of a renewed feasibility study for the new construction of National Road No. 25 from Bubuk to Sangnam (new four-lane road, L=1.75km), which is included in the 5th Five-Year National and Local Road Construction Plan (2021?2025), due to changes in the total project cost.

In addition, he requested the approval of a comprehensive preliminary feasibility study for the Samnangjin Mijeon to Cheonghak section of National Road No. 58 (four-lane expansion, L=4.6km) and the Miryang Cheongdo to Changnyeong Goam section of National Road No. 24 (two-lane improvement, L=6.4km), both included in the 6th Five-Year National and Local Road Construction Plan (2026?2030).
The city expects that the completion of the 5th and 6th National and Local Road Construction Projects will not only alleviate traffic inconvenience and chronic congestion for citizens but will also secure transportation routes for industrial cargo from nearby industrial complexes, providing a significant boost to regional economic development.
Jeon Hyungpil, head of the Busan Regional Land Management Office, stated, "I agree with the necessity of advancing these projects and will do my utmost to ensure their smooth progress."
Mayor Byunggu An said, "To achieve balanced national development and establish Miryang as a central transportation hub, we will continue to work closely with the Busan Regional Land Management Office to ensure that local pending projects are resolved in a timely manner."
