This agreement was established to strengthen the supply chain foundation essential for the expansion of the domestic offshore wind industry and to build a joint cooperation system aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of related industries. The parties to the agreement have pledged to work together for the development of the domestic offshore wind industry, to strengthen product competitiveness through technological development, and to create a stable, mutually beneficial supply chain.
During the event, Doosan Enerbility set up a separate exhibition booth to showcase its lineup of Korea-type offshore wind turbines with capacities of 3MW, 5.5MW, 8MW, and 10MW, as well as its record of being the first and most prolific supplier of offshore wind turbines in Korea and its offshore wind turbine production facilities at the Changwon headquarters. In particular, the 10MW model, which is the largest domestically produced unit, is scheduled to receive international certification within this month. It is designed to achieve a utilization rate of over 30% even at an average wind speed of 6.5 m/s.
Vice Chairman Jung stated, "I find it meaningful to sign this agreement for supply chain revitalization with domestic partners at a time when the domestic offshore wind market is entering a full-scale expansion." He added, "I hope that by enhancing each other's competitiveness based on mutual trust and cooperation, we can expand the market together not only domestically but also overseas."
Since launching its offshore wind business in 2005, Doosan Enerbility has supplied offshore wind turbines for the Jeju Tamra (30MW) project in 2017, the Jeonbuk Southwest (60MW) project in 2019, and the Jeju Hallim (100MW) project in 2025, holding the record for the most offshore wind installations in Korea.
