Woo Sang Ho, Senior Presidential Secretary for Political Affairs, said in a briefing on the 1st, "This meeting is intended to broaden the scope of dialogue with other opposition parties following the previous meeting with the leaders of the negotiating parties," adding, "It will proceed freely without a set agenda." He further explained, "At this meeting, the President will provide a detailed explanation of the current state of national affairs and various pending issues, and will ask for the cooperation of the opposition parties."

Attendees at the event will include Kim Sun Min, leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party; Seo Wang Jin, floor leader; Kim Jae Yeon, leader of the Progressive Party; Yoon Jong Oh, floor leader; Chun Ha Ram, acting leader and floor leader of the Reform Party; Yong Hye In, leader and floor leader of the Basic Income Party; and Han Chang Min, leader of the Social Democratic Party. From the Presidential Office, Chief of Staff Kang Hoon Sik and Senior Political Secretary Woo Sang Ho will participate.

The leadership of the five non-negotiating parties has begun preparing the messages they will deliver to President Lee ahead of their first meeting. They plan to express their hope that reform tasks directly related to people's livelihoods will be faithfully implemented, while also bringing up current issues such as the retention of Minister Song Mi Ryeong of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the establishment of the Social Reform Committee for discussion. A representative of the Progressive Party stated, "There is growing concern in rural areas regarding the retention of Minister Song, so we expect to convey the voices of citizens in the public square."

Meanwhile, at 10 a.m. on July 3, President Lee will hold his first press conference to mark one month since his inauguration. The event is titled "The President's 30 Days: The Media Asks, the President Answers the People." The press conference is expected to be conducted in a town hall meeting format, with only the topics and order of questions determined in advance, allowing for free and open discussion.
