Director Kim Hyeyoung Takes the Helm
The distributor By4M Studio announced on July 2 that Choo Youngwoo and Cynthia have been cast as the leads in the film "Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight."
This project is a remake of the Japanese film of the same name directed by Takahiro Miki. The story centers on a girl who loses her memory every time she wakes up and an ordinary boy leading a monotonous life, depicting their romance. The original film was released in Korea in 2021 and attracted 1.21 million viewers.
Choo Youngwoo, who has recently gained popularity through dramas such as "Mrs. Oksi's Tale," "Severe Trauma Center," and "Gyeonwoo and Jiknyeo," will make his big screen debut with this film. He plays Jaewon, who gradually changes after meeting Seoyoon, a character completely different from himself.
Cynthia, who has appeared in the film "Pagwa" and the drama "Someday Wise Resident Life," will take on the role of Seoyoon. She portrays a character with anterograde amnesia who strives to live joyfully, radiating positive energy.
The film will be directed by Kim Hyeyoung, who was invited to the Berlin International Film Festival with her feature debut "It's Okay, It's Okay, It's Okay!"
