"2025 Seoul Metro AI Art Contest"

Seoul Metro will hold the "2025 Seoul Metro AI Art Contest." The submission period runs from July 4 to midnight on July 14, 2025.
The theme of the contest is "Seoul Subway Accompanying the Vulnerable." Participants are invited to use generative AI to create warm images depicting the subway together with transportation-vulnerable groups, such as people with disabilities, the elderly, pregnant women, and children.
This contest is open to all citizens who use the Seoul subway. Those wishing to participate can submit their entries online via the contest submission page (www.서울지하철그림공모전.com) until the deadline.
Each individual may submit up to two entries. Please note that a screenshot showing the process of working with the AI program must be attached for the submission to be recognized.
The total prize money amounts to 5.1 million won, with a total of 60 winning entries to be selected. The grand prize is 800,000 won, and each excellence award is 500,000 won. The contest results will be announced on August 6, 2025, via the official Seoul Metro website and the contest submission page, and winners will also be notified individually.
The winning works will be showcased in various promotional media, including Seoul Metro's webzine, brochures, posters, and social networking services (SNS). They will also be displayed to the public through exhibitions and illuminated advertisements inside subway stations.
Nah Inho, head of the Public Relations Department at Seoul Metro, said, "We look forward to discovering many creative AI artworks that express the warm sensibility of the Seoul subway through the hands of our citizens," and added, "We ask for the active interest and participation of all citizens who love the Seoul subway in this contest."
